    Noble Dru - Review on “33 Jones.com”

    Monday, May 11th, 2009

33jonesNoble Dru’s video for “No More Lies” gets review on 33Jones.com. If this review is any indication, then Noble Dru seems to hit his mark with No More Lies as it sparks healthy conversation and debate over world issues and conspiracy. All said and done to a dope track.  At it’s finest that’s what hip-hop should do.

Big ups to 33jones.com for the review.

Read more below or follow the link to see the article.

Chicago emcee/producer Noble Dru first released the above single, No More Lies, late last year as part of his debut EP of the same name. Like a hip hop version of Jerry Fletcher, Dru fills the song with references to many of the more popular conspiracy theories - FEMA’s Katrina plot, poisonous plane contrails, cancerous cell phones, RFID chips, Babylon, etc.

I have no doubt that there are people out there who will be nodding along in agreement to what Dru has to say here, but the New World Order talk seems a bit over the top to me. It’s not that I don’t think we aren’t being lied to on a regular basis - by politicians, corporations, the media, take your pick - its just that I think there are far more concrete “conspiracies” (FISA, for example) to worry about than a wild theory about a global plan to spread the Mark of the Beast among the population. I’ve discussed in the past my thoughts on hip hop’s overeagerness to embrace just about every conspiracy theory that’s been cooked up over the past ten years (here), so I won’t belabor that point any further.

It’s an interesting video, though, and the song is at least more thought provoking than a typical mainstream joint.

Noble Dru - New Video for “No More Lies”

    Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Beatmonstas Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Noble Dru’s ill new music video for the razor sharp edged single “No More Lies”.

In the video, Noble Dru’s imagery is just as striking and ill as his flow and the unforgiving sound of his voice. Scenes from Dru’s video play like a world history documentary set to music. With Nazi soldiers marching in full gear and Noble Dru styled grave yard cinematography, this video completes the song perfectly.

We want to congratulate and salute our soldier on his EP (which you should all go cop right now!) and the release of his new video for the single “No More Lies”. Good work fam bam.

We’d also like to remind you all that this is only the beginning as Noble Dru is fast at work on his full length album project. So expect more of the real raw uncut truth and wisdom set to the sound of the illest beats by the man himself. SALUTE!

    Peep the video now!
