Noble Dru - Review on “33 Jones.com”

Noble Dru’s video for “No More Lies” gets review on 33Jones.com. If this review is any indication, then Noble Dru seems to hit his mark with No More Lies as it sparks healthy conversation and debate over world issues and conspiracy. All said and done to a dope track. At it’s finest that’s what hip-hop should do.
Big ups to 33jones.com for the review.

Chicago emcee/producer Noble Dru first released the above single, No More Lies, late last year as part of his debut EP of the same name. Like a hip hop version of Jerry Fletcher, Dru fills the song with references to many of the more popular conspiracy theories - FEMA’s Katrina plot, poisonous plane contrails, cancerous cell phones, RFID chips, Babylon, etc.
I have no doubt that there are people out there who will be nodding along in agreement to what Dru has to say here, but the New World Order talk seems a bit over the top to me. It’s not that I don’t think we aren’t being lied to on a regular basis - by politicians, corporations, the media, take your pick - its just that I think there are far more concrete “conspiracies” (FISA, for example) to worry about than a wild theory about a global plan to spread the Mark of the Beast among the population. I’ve discussed in the past my thoughts on hip hop’s overeagerness to embrace just about every conspiracy theory that’s been cooked up over the past ten years (here), so I won’t belabor that point any further.
It’s an interesting video, though, and the song is at least more thought provoking than a typical mainstream joint.

Beatmonstas Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Noble Dru’s ill new music video for the razor sharp edged single “No More Lies”.
